Playing with Playdough

When you are little you have many firsts, playing with playdough is no different.  She keeps digging these out of the drawer and has been wanting to play with it for some time, so finally I gave in and let her have at it.

She thought it was the coolest feeling and made lots of "wiggle snakes"

Field of Dreams

We went out for a photoshoot in the field to try to capture the end of the day light.

~E~ was just enjoying the cool breeze and the grass on her feet.

She was being such a big girl posing for mommy.  I wish I could say the same for her sister.

She was mad because I made her sit with me and take pictures and she wanted to go play on the rocket ship playground.

Getting a Little Urban

I thought we'd have a little fun downtown with all the fun and interestingly painted walls.

~K~ thought they were pretty neat looking too.

Then, of coarse, she had enough fun for 1 minute, and we headed back to the car, then she got a little pose-y for me, so I took what I could get:

Tricks on the Trampoline

Not too long after we moved in, Gran brought ~C~'s trampoline down for him.  He was so excited to put it up that the day after I had my gallbladder taken out we were outside putting it together.

He didnt waste any time getting reacclimated with it.

Soon he was doing his "Spiderman" moves and showing off for all of us.

You know ~K~ could'nt pass up a photo opportunity either.

Learning to Crawl

~E~ is growing more and more each day and learning new things every day too.  Learning how to crawl is no different.  At first she was unsure of how exactly to get her legs under her, but it didn't take long for her to figure it out.

She would do the cute rock back and forth movements for a while.  It always reminded me of a rocket getting ready to shoot off.  She looked so determined.

Then all of the sudden it clicked!  She figured out how to move her hands and legs at the same time and then she was all over the house in no time flat.  Her poor little knees soon started to get calloused from crawling on the tile floor in the kitchen.

The Taste of Gecko

This little guy was in ~E~'s seat before we left the house, so she thought she would play with him for a bit.

He tasted good, she loved to put him in her mouth.  Biting down was the best part!
This little guy did'nt stand a chance with that death grip.

Good thing he is just a little plastic toy!

Tour of the Firestation

We took a tour of one of the fire stations with our playgroup today.  ~K~ was imitated by the size of the firetrucks and it took some warming up to, but ~E~ was ok with it as soon as we got there.

I put her in the seat and she thought she was a big girl.

They were taking the trucks out one by one for some sort of training and when one of them left, she waved them on.

She finally got used to being there long enough to actually stand by the truck.

One of the firefighters demonstrated how they slide down the pole and ~K~ thought that was neat so she had to try it out too.

In the Pumpkin Patch

As we were waiting in line to enter, ~K~ was picking pretty flowers.

She was being so kind today, letting ~E~ smell the flower.

~E~ was having a blast, sitting on the pumpkins.

~K~ was trying to find the perfect one to take home.

They decorated both the inside and outside of the house with pumpkins. ~K~ thought this was the neatest thing, she had never seen anything like it before.

Awww, I think she found "the one"

She was so excited that she kept saying "Mom, come on"

She fell in love with this pumpkin too and was rolling it away from the house.
Watching her do this reminded me of the scene in Dirty Dancing where Baby said "I can't believe I carried a watermelon"

We wanted to walk around the rest of the gardens,

and take pictures by the crape myrtles, but every time I said ~K~'s name for her to turn around, she would stomp her foot and yell "WHAT"  So I took what I could get, and got her picture while she was yelling at me.

Then we seen the frogs that spit water and all was well in her world once again.
But I still wasn't moving fast enough for her.

And then she spotted the fish, calm once again!
